I always wanted a dog, unfortunately, I had to wait until my mid-twenties.
But, I’m glad I waited, because I got Tilly. She became my best friend and I would do anything for her.
I pride myself in being able to feed her the best food, make sure she exercises every day and make sure she doesn’t spend any more than a few hours alone. The downside? Many dogs don’t experience a fraction of what she does. They never sleep on a soft bed, never eat a nutritional meal or ever feel love.
That breaks my heart. Sadly this is always going to be an issue, bad people will continue to get pets, mistreat them and never break the cycle. But we can help make the lives of these dogs a little better.
